Happy Spring!
While many of the adults CRi supports receive public funds (such as Medicaid), most do not have enough money to participate in leisure activities like going to the movies or attending a concert… things that many of us take for granted.
For example, Jay, who lives in one of CRi’s Richmond homes, loves music. He especially loves live concerts and ANYTHING out of Motown. When Jay hears one of his favorite artists, everyone knows to step back because Jay is about to get his groove on!
The challenge for Jay is that he doesn’t have the personal finances needed to attend live concerts. The public support he receives covers the cost associated with his care, but nothing else. That’s where your generosity made his dreams come true. Your donations allowed Jay to attend a concert last year headlined by one of his favorite performers, Gladys Knight!
