LIFE and CAR: Our Mission

Community Residences in Anne Arundel County supports adults, children and adolescents in living the life they want to live.

  • Our members set their goals and priorities. We work in groups and one-on-one to achieve your goals.
  • We meet with you in the community and invite you to join peers for group meetings in our offices.

What Does This Cost?

Members of the LIFE or CAR program do not pay out of pocket for services. Services are billed to the Maryland Public Behavioral Health System. The program manager requests authorization for services through Beacon Behavioral Health, Maryland’s Administrative Services Organization every six months for adults and every three months for children and adolescents.

Who Sends People To Our Programs?

We get referrals from several sources:

  1. Outpatient mental health providers including Thrive Behavioral Health, MRC Behavioral Health, M&M Behavioral Health, Villa Maria Behavioral Health, Advanced Behavioral Health, Anne Arundel Lodge, as well as therapists in private practice.
  2. Baltimore Washington Medical Center, its partial hospitalization program and inpatient unit.
  3. Anne Arundel Mental Health Services Agency; Crisis Response.
  4. Our own agency. Individuals involved in CR’s targeted case management move to the psychiatric rehabilitation program once their housing is secure.
